The referee ignored Caballeros Cruzados's protests and gave José Antonio Cossio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, Caballeros Cruzados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Antonio Cossio to maneuver through the defense. Ofelio Roques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Alcides Munita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Rogelio Carmona was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alcides Munita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caballeros Cruzados's supporters rose to their feet, but Alcides Munita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rogelio Carmona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Antonio Cossio kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute of the match Nafarroa Isaguirre shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Alejandro Duble showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Caballeros Cruzados's José Alejandro Duble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magdaleno Zelada in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ofelio Roques to make the kick off. Carmelo Frontaura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute Magdaleno Zelada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Alejandro Duble saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Magdaleno Zelada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ofelio Roques in the 93rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Huequecura's Benedicto Charlin got a free kick in the 96th minute. Vasco Aragón was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Huequecura players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caballeros Cruzados.
