After a defensive mix-up in Caballeros Cruzados's zone, Eleuterio Varletta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Alejandro Duble showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Varletta in the 23rd minute of the match. Octavio Ubeda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alcides Munita, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Zorrilla AFC's Xulián Padilla got a free kick in the 26th minute. Alcides Munita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Octavio Ubeda made a huge save. When Toni Floto came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Zorrilla AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Toni Floto couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toni Floto in the 40th minute of play forced Caballeros Cruzados's goalkeeper José Alejandro Duble to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Toni Floto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Ofelio Roques made the kick off in the second half. If Toni Floto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. Juan Antonio Maralla's late challenge caught a Caballeros Cruzados's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Ofelio Roques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavio Ubeda was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Octavio Ubeda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ofelio Roques in the 69th minute of play. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Eleuterio Varletta sped through Caballeros Cruzados's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Alejandro Duble. Caballeros Cruzados's José Alejandro Duble played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleuterio Varletta in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caballeros Cruzados's goalkeeper José Alejandro Duble, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zorrilla AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
