In the 7th minute, José Antonio Cuellar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martino Moreira kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 12thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Llolleo AFC's keeper Lázaro Salazar was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 14 minutes into the match, Llolleo AFC's Alberto Giron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Inocencio Matte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lipita's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Antonio Cuellar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Inocencio Matte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Giron, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for José Antonio Cuellar to strike the kick off in the second half. Llolleo AFC's Lázaro Salazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Antonio Cuellar in the 51st minute of play. José Antonio Cuellar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lázaro Salazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Xavián Abella mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Llolleo AFC and the Lipita players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Llolleo AFC's Xavián Abella got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Carlos Manuel Ruiz Tagle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lázaro Salazar skillfully saved the ball. Inocencio Matte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Giron in the 66th minute of play. Llolleo AFC's Carlos Hernán Tineo got his second yellow card of the match in the 85th minute. The referee ordered Carlos Hernán Tineo off the ground. After 88 minutes of play, Llolleo AFC's Benedicto Santelices made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inocencio Matte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Llolleo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedicto Santelices was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inocencio Matte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the match, Lipita's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Giron came free, but Inocencio Matte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Llolleo AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Llolleo AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
