If Romelio Galiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enzo Garfias might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Val Carmona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enzo Garfias ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Isidoro Taylor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Val Carmona, 3-2. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itahue's goalkeeper Val Carmona, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Codina made a kick off. Val Carmona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Olate, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 71st minute Enzo Garfias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Val Carmona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Salvatore Cruzat got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Atletico Milan's Isidoro Taylor got a free kick in the 85th minute. Val Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvatore Cruzat in the 88th minute of play. Isidoro Taylor ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gerardo Olate managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Olate was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Val Carmona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Romelio Galiano came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Atletico Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romelio Galiano couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Atletico Milan had played much better football throughout.
