An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Achondo in the 4th minute of play forced Itahue's goalkeeper Val Carmona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Val Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopoldo Jacinto Winkler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Itahue's Rainerio Lobos got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Rogerio Mantilla came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Chorriadero AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogerio Mantilla couldn't finish the play. 12 minutes into the game, Itahue's Demetrio Muñiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuelo Naranjo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Val Carmona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Achondo in the 16th minute of play. Baltazar Radical kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Itahue defense, Rogerio Mantilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Val Carmona. The Itahue fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Val Carmona should have stopped the shot. Chorriadero AFC's Manuelo Naranjo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Chorriadero AFC from getting a goal against them. Emilio Codina was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Itahue's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Demetrio Muñiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emilio Codina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emilio Codina to make the kick off. The supporters of Chorriadero AFC booed when Itahue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heliodoro Dick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Val Carmona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Jacinto Winkler, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Chorriadero AFC's Xalvador Asencio tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Demetrio Muñiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, one of Chorriadero AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Leopoldo Jacinto Winkler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chorriadero AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Jacinto Winkler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Val Carmona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rogerio Mantilla struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Itahue fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chorriadero AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
