Andy Maristany took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alex Daguerressar. Victoria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Xosé Prenafeta hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute Andy Maristany shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Daguerressar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ruperto Benavente made the kick off in the second half. Ruperto Benaventes short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Alex Daguerressar to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ruperto Benavente might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Daguerressar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruperto Benavente ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Plácido Polanco in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Daguerressar saved Victoria from getting behind. Ruperto Benavente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alex Daguerressar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
