Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lander Herreros in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Baudelio Puente prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Ricardo Potts came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Nancul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Potts couldn't finish the play. Lester Precht charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lester Precht the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nancul fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 15th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Quinca a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Giancarlo Montesinos, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Nancul's Baudelio Puente. 0-1. If Bernardino Vela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Ricardo Potts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nancul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Potts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 29 played minutes Nancul got a freekick which was hit by Mario Alessandri. If Lander Herreros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricardo Potts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marín Faez having to interfere. Marín Faez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Potts in the 34th minute of the match. Gerard Cisneros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marín Faez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Lander Herreros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Quinca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lander Herreros to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Nancul's Ricardo Potts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marín Faez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 58 minutes into the match, Quinca's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Potts came free, but Marín Faez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot by Juan Raúl Cordoba from long distance, 60 minutes into the match, got Baudelio Puente's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marín Faez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Cisneros in the 61st minute of the match. Gerard Cisneros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marín Faez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Marín Faez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo Potts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gerard Cisneros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 66 minutes, Ricardo Potts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 83rd minute, Bernardino Vela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baudelio Puente was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Marín Faez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Potts, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Lander Herreros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Baudelio Puente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baudelio Puente made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Bernardino Vela sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Quinca had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
