The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Luis Sances during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Soriano Seriche was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Pedro Tomás Meléndez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ofelio Cobaleda having to interfere. C.A Dulceys's Ofelio Cobaleda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odín Oruna in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Aristides Bastías made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Luis Moxo in the 51st minute of play forced Pedernales AFC's goalkeeper Juan Cristóbal Allu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Pedernales AFC's zone, Aristides Bastías stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Cristóbal Allu came out of the goal and Aristides Bastías tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Aristides Bastías put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Cristóbal Allu. 62 minutes into the match, Pedernales AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Luis Moxo came free, but Juan Cristóbal Allu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Aristides Bastías had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aristides Bastías in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juan Cristóbal Allu saved Pedernales AFC from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, C.A Dulceys's Aristides Bastías sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Juan Cristóbal Allu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of C.A Dulceys booed when Pedernales AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Luis Sances didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Luis Moxo spun around in front of the goal 94 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Pedernales AFC's goal.
