Spectators: 6694 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mónico Chopitea made the kick off which started today's match. After a rather tough play, Chanar FC's Román Erazo got a free kick in the 2nd minute. With a little luck, Caquena AFC's Marcelino Gorostiaga got control of the ball when Virgilio Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Mónico Chopitea came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Caquena AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mónico Chopitea couldn't finish the play. Virgilio Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Chanar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mónico Chopitea came free, but Gaston Canavesio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mónico Chopitea might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Canavesio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mónico Chopitea ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcelino Gorostiaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Ramírez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chanar FC's Moisés Anziani got a free kick in the 34th minute. Jeraldo Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Canavesio having to interfere. Gaston Canavesio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mónico Chopitea in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Caquena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeraldo Barrera to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Gorostiaga having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgilio Torres got free with Marcelino Gorostiaga in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eriberto Robledo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergio Ramírez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Caquena AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Ramírez came free, but Marcelino Gorostiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Sergio Ramírez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Gorostiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Caquena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeraldo Barrera to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Caquena AFC defense, Moisés Anziani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelino Gorostiaga. The Caquena AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelino Gorostiaga should have stopped the shot. Juan Eduardo Zubicueta hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Sergio Ramírez took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelino Gorostiaga. Marcelino Gorostiaga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Virgilio Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marcelino Gorostiaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Mónico Chopitea put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Gaston Canavesio. If Moisés Anziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chanar FC's Virgilio Torres got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Caquena AFC's zone, Sergio Ramírez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Gorostiaga came out of the goal and Sergio Ramírez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chanar FC had won after a very even match.
