Seating: 1702, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Faustino Chiguaicura started the match with the kick off. Zavier Leyton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Querquel's Alfonso Trujillo got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 10thth minute of the game Marino Estévez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Querquel's Mario Larralde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Querquel's Mario Larralde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marino Estévez in the 11th minute of play. Oscar Carson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Constancio Lanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marino Estévez struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Mario Larralde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illaya. When Jorge Larrarte fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Querquel's protests and gave Jorge Larrarte a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute there was a penalty for Illaya. Ervigio Felice stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mario Larralde. 0-2. In the 41st minute, one of Querquel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Querquel. Ervigio Felice shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Marino Estévez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

With a little luck, Querquel's Mario Larralde got control of the ball when Marino Estévez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Larralde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reces Forlan in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Marino Estévez could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Mario Larralde however easily saved by the left post. Querquel's Mario Larralde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reces Forlan in the 59th minute of play. Reces Forlan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mario Larralde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Reces Forlan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mario Larralde. That made the score 0-3 in the 74 minute of play. Marino Estévez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Mario Larralde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
