Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Larralde in the 3rd minute of play forced Chillaiza FC's goalkeeper Ronaldo Flechart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Acosta struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ronaldo Flechart didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gueyusca. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gueyusca's goalkeeper Adán Gilberto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Chillaiza FC's Rogerio Morel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adán Gilberto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Gabriel Salamo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chillaiza FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel Salamo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Vinicio Vives fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chillaiza FC's protests and gave Vinicio Vives a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gueyusca booed when Chillaiza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Vives didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Gueyusca's Batista Zegers got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Juan Luis Amesti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramón Larralde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. In the 41st minute Juan Luis Amesti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Flechart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Ramón Larralde made a precise shot to the right of Ronaldo Flechart. Chillaiza FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Chillaiza FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gueyusca were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Gabriel Salamo made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Flechart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Luis Amesti in the 51st minute of the match. Ronaldo Flechart made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramón Larralde in the 52nd minute. Gabriel Salamo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Adán Gilberto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damario Cabañas hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Gabriel Salamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 79 played minutes Gueyusca got a freekick which was hit by Marciano Quijada. Ronaldo Flechart was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan Luis Amesti showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 83 minute of play. After 89 minutes of play, Chillaiza FC's Rogerio Morel made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adán Gilberto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rogerio Morel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gueyusca had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
