The referee showed Pablo Avaria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Humagata FC got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Avaria. Ariel Manríquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ariano Almeyda in the 16th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genaro Horta got free with Ariel Manríquez in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Humagata FC's Maximino Casanueva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adán Lambert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 26thth minute of the game Ariano Almeyda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Humagata FC's Ariel Manríquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Humagata FC's goalkeeper Ariel Manríquez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genaro Horta. Ariel Manríquez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariano Almeyda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Humagata FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ariel Manríquez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariano Almeyda, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Genaro Horta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Ariel Manríquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Latarana's Adán Lambert got control of the ball when Jose Santelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Geraldo Canales took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adán Lambert. Latarana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 73rdth minute of the game Genaro Horta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Humagata FC's Ariel Manríquez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Genaro Horta spun around in front of the goal 73 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Humagata FC's goal. Humagata FC's Ariel Manríquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ariano Almeyda in the 75th minute of play. Jose Santelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Adán Lambert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ariano Almeyda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Humagata FC's Adán Lambert threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Maximino Casanueva, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Jose Santelices came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Humagata FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Santelices couldn't finish the play. Humagata FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
