The Diaguita AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juanjo Molinare should have stopped the shot. Godofredo Paut was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leandro Aliaga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 20 minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Severo Vial was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Infernillo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diaguita AFC the free kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marciano Amengual during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Godofredo Paut made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Aliaga in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute Marciano Amengual shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godofredo Paut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Quim Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. When Casimír Olano fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Infernillo's protests and gave Casimír Olano a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Infernillo! In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Diaguita AFC. León Arduengo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Godofredo Paut. 3-1.
