After a rather tough play, Soncor's Angelo Puelles got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Rogerio Otaola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Chollay FC defense, Pedro Tomás Figueroa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anastasio Andueza. The Chollay FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anastasio Andueza should have stopped the shot. If Pedro Tomás Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Tomás Figueroa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nauzet Hormeño during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chollay FC's Nauzet Hormeño got a free kick in the 31st minute. Ceferino Orellana was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Soncor's goalkeeper Ernesto Daniel Heyboer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedro Tomás Figueroa got free with Anastasio Andueza in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute of the match Tito Alcaide shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernesto Daniel Heyboer showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Pedro Tomás Figueroa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 48 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Fuentes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soncor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chollay FC the free kick. The supporters of Chollay FC booed when Soncor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Fuentes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 49 played minutes, Chollay FC's Calixto Parant shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ernesto Daniel Heyboer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chollay FC reached it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Estebano Novoa to strike the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Daniel Heyboer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Angelillo Araujo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. Ramon María Malbrán charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramon María Malbrán the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Estebano Novoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Andueza was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogerio Otaola in the 76th minute of play forced Soncor's goalkeeper Ernesto Daniel Heyboer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anastasio Andueza came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Soncor's Pedro Tomás Figueroa. But to his dismay, Pedro Tomás Figueroa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 83rd match minute, Chollay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimír Aldunate to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Soncor's goal looked a bit too open when Rogerio Otaola came free, but Ernesto Daniel Heyboer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Sansón Coromina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
