If Vladimiro Turrieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moquella's Bonifacio Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selmo Bastic in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Moquella defense, Selmo Bastic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bonifacio Navarro. The Moquella fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bonifacio Navarro should have stopped the shot. Jeraldo Gómez charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeraldo Gómez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Moquella's Jeraldo Gómez got a free kick in the 40th minute. Jeraldo Gómez kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Francisco Antonio Moscoso hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Lois Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Israel Amunátegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Lois Toro made the kick off in the second half. Israel Amunátegui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arnoldo San Martín's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 52nd match minute, Choquelimpie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zebulón Waddington to maneuver through the defense. Israel Amunátegui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lois Toro in the 53rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Selmo Bastic in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Moquella getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Omar Fuica hit a great ball. Choquelimpie's Selmo Bastic was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Lois Toro notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Choquelimpie's Israel Amunátegui. Israel Amunátegui was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 74 played minutes Choquelimpie got a freekick which was hit by Odín Marasso. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Vladimiro Turrieta sped through Moquella's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bonifacio Navarro. Selmo Bastic struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Bonifacio Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Choquelimpie. Selmo Bastic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bonifacio Navarro having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Choquelimpie eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
