But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Salcedo couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, ChileFC's Reynaldo Calvetti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roque Painevilu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th match minute, Comana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Arteta to maneuver through the defense. When Enzo Salcedo came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the ChileFC fans jumped to their feet. During the 22nd minute of the match Osvaldo Maino completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Osvaldo Maino a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Roberto Arteta made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Enzo Salcedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Painevilu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
