Cautinisca's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juan Pedro Charlin ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Enquelga's corner Juan Pedro Charlin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tobías Warner quite easily take care of the ball. After 25 played minutes, Enquelga's Juan Pedro Charlin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tobías Warner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Enquelga reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucián Astaburuaga during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 27th match minute, Cautinisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucián Astaburuaga to maneuver through the defense. Tobías Warner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Peñafiel in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Enquelga's zone, José Javier Cabedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Alberto Picarte came out of the goal and José Javier Cabedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Alberto Picarte made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Filiberto Urbano sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th minute José Javier Cabedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Alberto Picarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, José Javier Cabedo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for José Alberto Picarte to make any attempt to save it. 44 minutes into the match, Cautinisca's Filiberto Urbano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Alberto Picarte narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Ignacio Dighero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Enquelga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ignacio Dighero made a kick off. A collision led to Cautinisca getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jacinto Olarra hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ignacio Dighero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Enquelga's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Dighero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobías Warner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Alberto Picarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filiberto Urbano in the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Cautinisca booed when Enquelga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Peñafiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Enquelga got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Dighero. After having played for 83 minutes, Lucián Astaburuaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cautinisca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucián Astaburuaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Javier Cabedo in the 86th minute of play forced Enquelga's goalkeeper José Alberto Picarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute José Javier Cabedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Alberto Picarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If José Javier Cabedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Alberto Picarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filiberto Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If Niguel Reinoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Enquelga had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
