Spectators: 7409 (Terracing: 5557, Seating: 1704, VIP seats: 148) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Israel Echegoyen made the kick off which started today's match. In the 5th minute, Matteo Budinich ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin López was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Matteo Budinich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin López having to interfere. Putemun's Martin López played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marino Unquera in the 17th minute of play. Gervasio Alessandri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Raymundo Falabella tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marino Unquera might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin López. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marino Unquera ran back to his position shaking his head. After 22 played minutes Copequen got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Jordan. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matteo Budinich in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin López prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rollo Magofke got free with Raymundo Falabella in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Marino Unquera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin López saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Copequen's Matteo Budinich in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Putemun's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Putemun's Roy Tirapegui got a free kick in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Matteo Budinich had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin López. Putemun's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Matteo Budinich was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of Putemun booed when Copequen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alipio Suazo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Putemun got a corner. Copequen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gervasio Alessandri ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gervasio Alessandri made a great header on Putemun's corner, it was just that Copequen's Raymundo Falabella managed to reach the ball for a save. If Gervasio Alessandri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Putemun players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Copequen were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matteo Budinich was the one to do the kick off. Marino Unquera received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martin López came out and tried to block the shot, but Marino Unquera slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 56th minute. After 62 minutes, Israel Echegoyen made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Copequen's Raymundo Falabella tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Israel Echegoyen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raymundo Falabella having to interfere. Martin López made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marino Unquera in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Federico Backhouse during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roy Tirapegui recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Roy Tirapegui came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Putemun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roy Tirapegui couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the game, Matteo Budinich recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martin López. Matteo Budinich showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Martin López took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matteo Budinich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Copequen's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
