Darío León could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Pol Marchese made a huge save. Pol Marchese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eber Swinburn in the 4th minute of play. Castro's Pol Marchese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Castro from getting a goal against them. Quilquilco FC's Nicolas Sol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon-Ander Elkins in the 10th minute of play. Jon-Ander Elkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Sol having to interfere. Eber Swinburn kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Catrilao during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 18th play minute Darío León came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pol Marchese. 1-0. If Darío León had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Sol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peio Demanet, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Quilquilco FC's Darío León sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pol Marchese narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Peio Demanet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peio Demanet in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Sol saved Quilquilco FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon-Ander Elkins in the 33rd minute of play forced Quilquilco FC's goalkeeper Nicolas Sol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pol Marchese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eber Swinburn in the 37th minute of the match. Jon-Ander Elkins might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicolas Sol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jon-Ander Elkins ran back to his position shaking his head. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, Ezmundo Peñailillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicolas Sol. Quilquilco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezmundo Peñailillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 56 minutes into the match, Quilquilco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jon-Ander Elkins came free, but Nicolas Sol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Sol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon-Ander Elkins in the 59th minute of play. If Eber Swinburn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Peio Demanet came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Castro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peio Demanet couldn't finish the play. When Quilquilco FC's Eber Swinburn in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Castro's supporters rose to their feet, but Peio Demanet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicolas Sol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
