It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 9th minute, but Rosalio Risopatrón got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Marico hanging dry this time. Normando Abrego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Rosalio Risopatrón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Canadilla AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marico the free kick. A collision led to Canadilla AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Teofilio Zarricueta hit a great ball. Alvar Oxman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Normando Abrego in the 43rd minute of play forced Marico's goalkeeper Rosalio Risopatrón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Delfino Uriarte to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Canadilla AFC booed when Marico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Daly didn't get a good kick on the ball.
