Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aureliano Bianchi started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Pomaire FC defense, Baldomiro Cox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruperto Huelqui. The Pomaire FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruperto Huelqui should have stopped the shot. Emilio Felipe Ríos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 9 minutes into the game, Universidad Católica's Baldomiro Cox nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruperto Huelqui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Ab Scheper took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Ruperto Huelqui to make any attempt to save it. Ruperto Huelqui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ab Scheper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Baldomiro Cox, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 22 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ruperto Huelqui was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Ruperto Huelqui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ab Scheper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Pomaire FC got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Maddaleno. Ab Scheper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ruperto Huelqui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Baldomiro Cox came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Universidad Católica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baldomiro Cox couldn't finish the play. If Emilio Felipe Ríos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aureliano Bianchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Ab Scheper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Universidad Católica's supporters rose to their feet, but Ab Scheper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruperto Huelqui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aureliano Bianchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Ruperto Huelqui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erik Lukey was the one to do the kick off. Universidad Católica's José Ignacio Lavín played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Lukey in the 54th minute of play. Ab Scheper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Huelqui having to interfere. Ruperto Huelqui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Bianchi in the 74th minute of play. If Baldomiro Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ab Scheper took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruperto Huelqui. Ruperto Huelqui dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Ruperto Huelqui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Bianchi in the 84th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Universidad Católica's Stoyan Radichkov made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruperto Huelqui was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ab Scheper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Huelqui having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aureliano Bianchi in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruperto Huelqui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute Aureliano Bianchi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Huelqui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Universidad Católica players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
