The audience was convinced that Quique Zelaya's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jaime Sánchez was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. The supporters of Tanguao AFC booed when Alfalfal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban José Frago didn't get a good kick on the ball. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tanguao AFC's goalkeeper Jaime Sánchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jaime Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Pinuer in the 65th minute of play.
