Miguel Hernánde Gaviño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Luis Guemes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pompey FC's zone, Loreto Bas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martino Klickmann came out of the goal and Loreto Bas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Hernánde Gaviño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Juan Luis Guemes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fulco Herquiñigo hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Loreto Bas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Víctor Javier Tello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martino Klickmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricard Fisher in the 37th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Loreto Bas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martino Klickmann. That made the score 1-1 in the 39 minute of play. Víctor Javier Tello struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Martino Klickmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ollague. Ollague's Juan Luis Guemes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Hernánde Gaviño in the 45th minute of play. If Ricard Fisher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Víctor Javier Tello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pompey FC's Martino Klickmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pompey FC's Juan Antonio Bauza got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 minutes, Juanjo Bórquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pompey FC and the Ollague players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Loreto Bas made a precise shot to the right of Martino Klickmann. Pompey FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After having played for 88 minutes, Wilson Edwards managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pompey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilson Edwards was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ollague walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
