Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Alfalfal's Quique Zelaya started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Camilo Pinuer struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Martino Klickmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alfalfal. The audience was convinced that Camilo Pinuer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martino Klickmann was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Pompey FC's Fulco Herquiñigo got a free kick in the 12th minute. Martino Klickmann came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Alfalfal's Camilo Pinuer. But to his dismay, Camilo Pinuer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nicasio Fanta hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Wilson Edwards got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 31st match minute, Alfalfal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilesindo Naranjo to maneuver through the defense. Martino Klickmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quique Zelaya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Quique Zelaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Pinuer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Martino Klickmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Hernánde Gaviño made a kick off. The supporters of Alfalfal booed when Pompey FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ireno Elkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Hernánde Gaviño in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodrigo Iturralde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Camilo Pinuer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfalfal's supporters rose to their feet, but Camilo Pinuer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Martino Klickmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Iturralde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Hernánde Gaviño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Alfalfal getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Esteban José Frago hit a great ball. After having played for 64 minutes, Fulco Herquiñigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pompey FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulco Herquiñigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quique Zelaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martino Klickmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quique Zelaya, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute, Esteban José Frago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Antonio Bauza took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rodrigo Iturralde. Alfalfal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Pompey FC's goalkeeper Martino Klickmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Camilo Pinuer. Wilson Edwards blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodrigo Iturralde having to make a save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Alfalfal fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Pompey FC. Juan Antonio Bauza stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rodrigo Iturralde. 1-1. 84 minutes into the game, Xulián Orostegui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alfalfal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pompey FC the free kick. In the 85th match minute, Alfalfal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xulián Orostegui to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Iturralde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilson Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Wilson Edwards scored 2-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rodrigo Iturralde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
