Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Baudelio Canningham started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Baudelio Canningham managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcalonco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Baudelio Canningham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edelmiro Baros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 7 played minutes FC Pichangueros got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Guisado. A collision led to FC Pichangueros getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Paulino Lasa hit a great ball. In the 15th match minute, Talcalonco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renato Zebadilla to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Delfino Mallet in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Undurraga saved Talcalonco FC from getting behind. In the 18th minute Celedonio Arrué shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Undurraga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Talcalonco FC defense, Celedonio Arrué kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teodoro Undurraga. The Talcalonco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teodoro Undurraga should have stopped the shot. Talcalonco FC's Teodoro Undurraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celedonio Arrué in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Próspero Andrade got free with Edelmiro Baros in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Baudelio Canningham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edelmiro Baros was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Próspero Andrade succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-2. In the 37th minute, Delfino Mallet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pichangueros's zone, Próspero Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Baros came out of the goal and Próspero Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC Pichangueros getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Ysmael Wassermayer hit a great ball. When Próspero Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Talcalonco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Próspero Andrade couldn't finish the play. After the first half FC Pichangueros were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Delfino Mallet was the one to do the kick off. Edelmiro Baros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Próspero Andrade in the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pichangueros's zone, Baudelio Canningham stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edelmiro Baros came out of the goal and Baudelio Canningham tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Talcalonco FC's Baudelio Canningham in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Pichangueros's goalie prevented a goal. After 56 played minutes FC Pichangueros got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Guisado. Baudelio Canningham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Baros having to interfere. When Talcalonco FC's Baudelio Canningham in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Pichangueros's goalie prevented a goal. FC Pichangueros's Edelmiro Baros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Próspero Andrade in the 66th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Honorato Guisado during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Talcalonco FC booed when FC Pichangueros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Honorato Guisado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Baros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Próspero Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Próspero Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Baros having to interfere. Baudelio Canningham might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Baros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baudelio Canningham ran back to his position shaking his head.
