After 5 minutes of play, Talquipen AFC's Rigoberto Davagnino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Luque was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the match, Rigoberto Davagnino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Luque. Tomaguaya's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigoberto Davagnino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Moncho Cetina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quentín Morel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rodolfo Luque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Anastasio Solorzano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tomaguaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Anastasio Solorzano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Quintén Amiot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodolfo Luque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quentín Morel, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. When Rigoberto Davagnino came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Talquipen AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Davagnino couldn't finish the play. Quintén Amiot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Besoain in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Talquipen AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rigoberto Davagnino made a kick off. In the 87th minute Anastasio Solorzano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintén Amiot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rigoberto Davagnino came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Talquipen AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Davagnino couldn't finish the play. 0-5 became the score in the 92nd minute when Rigoberto Davagnino elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Tomaguaya fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Talquipen AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
