Gualberto Iribarra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 10 minutes, Antonio Arteche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lagunillas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Arteche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 14th minute Christiano Lukey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlondón Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Shoshuenco FC's goalkeeper Orlondón Mann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Jesus Picado. A collision led to Shoshuenco FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Brian Tordesillas hit a great ball. If Christiano Lukey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. Gualberto Iribarra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 30 minutes, Virgilio Elgueta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shoshuenco FC and the Lagunillas players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Shoshuenco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgilio Elgueta to maneuver through the defense. In the 40thth minute of the game Francisco Miguel Guarda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Shoshuenco FC's Orlondón Mann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiano Lukey in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlondón Mann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mario Jesus Picado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 45 played minutes Shoshuenco FC got a freekick which was hit by Virgilio Elgueta. In the 47th minute Christiano Lukey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlondón Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Shoshuenco FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Miguel Villarroel was the one to do the kick off. Lester Montalva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Gualberto Iribarra made a huge save. If Jose Miguel Villarroel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mario Jesus Picado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlondón Mann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Mario Jesus Picado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Orlondón Mann. Shoshuenco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mario Jesus Picado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Antonio Arteche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlondón Mann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mario Jesus Picado's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. With a little luck, Lagunillas's Gualberto Iribarra got control of the ball when Magdaleno Campillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute Christiano Lukey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlondón Mann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mario Jesus Picado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Magdaleno Campillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gualberto Iribarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Miguel Villarroel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lagunillas were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
