But to his dismay, Albin Jaramillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ursino Lantaño made a kick off. With a little luck, CF Cruz del Sur's Cornelio Cruchaga got control of the ball when Aaron Parrochia tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Abraham Patrickson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Lonquimai failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
