In the 33rd minute Jose Esteban Nordman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Verschueren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cruzados Caballeros's zone, Juan María Subercaseaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Verschueren came out of the goal and Juan María Subercaseaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredo Verschueren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikel Canavesio, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Quique Aguila got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Cruzados Caballeros booed when Puccmon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Alberto Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Xacobo Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Juan María Subercaseaux managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puccmon's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan María Subercaseaux was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Verschueren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miguel Hernánde Pechini kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. When the match was over Puccmon could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cruzados Caballeros throughout the match.
