In the 3rd minute, Matias Precht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Luis Acasuso got free with Estevan Morgado in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Estevan Morgado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Christian Massoc. Jose Manuel Makaus hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Juan Luis Acasuso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estevan Morgado having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Freirina's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Iribarra came free, but Estevan Morgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miliano Forlan in the 20th minute of play forced Ladrillos FC's goalkeeper Vladimiro Felice to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Luis Acasuso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Estevan Morgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Filiberto Iribarra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Estevan Morgado. The goal made the score 1-0. After 27 played minutes Ladrillos FC got a freekick which was hit by Eufemio Respaldiza. A collision led to Ladrillos FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Eufemio Respaldiza hit a great ball. When Archibaldo Quintero came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Freirina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Archibaldo Quintero couldn't finish the play. Ladrillos FC's Vladimiro Felice played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miliano Forlan in the 37th minute of play. Miliano Forlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimiro Felice having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Archibaldo Quintero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Freirina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Archibaldo Quintero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Juan Luis Acasuso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Estevan Morgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Estevan Morgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Luis Acasuso in the 58th minute of the match. Quique Estolaza hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Freirina's Archibaldo Quintero got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miliano Forlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimiro Felice made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Miliano Forlan sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute Filiberto Iribarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estevan Morgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filiberto Iribarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estevan Morgado having to interfere. If Juan Luis Acasuso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute Juan Luis Acasuso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estevan Morgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jose Manuel Makaus charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Manuel Makaus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 93 minutes into the match, Juan Luis Acasuso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Estevan Morgado. Freirina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Luis Acasuso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ladrillos FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Freirina for a fine match.
