Huilipatagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Prudentio Caldera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mikel Flotow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulín Trejo got free with Mikel Flotow in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 9th minute, Huilipatagua's Prudentio Caldera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudentio Caldera in the 13th minute of play forced Deportes Iquique's goalkeeper Mikel Flotow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prudentio Caldera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikel Flotow having to make a save. Deportes Iquique's Mikel Flotow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Deportes Iquique from getting a goal against them. Prudentio Caldera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Deportes Iquique getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Oliverio Araujo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Deportes Iquique's zone, Prudentio Caldera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mikel Flotow came out of the goal and Prudentio Caldera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Huilipatagua walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
