Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Giancarlo Sadin got the match started through his kick off. The Curico AFC fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when Curico AFC's Urtsín Marre looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alipio Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alipio Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Alipio Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Curico AFC's zone, Ceandro Manieu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eufrasio Dawson came out of the goal and Ceandro Manieu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Plácido Ovalle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giancarlo Sadin in the 16th minute of the match. Ceandro Manieu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eufrasio Dawson came out and tried to block the shot, but Ceandro Manieu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. Nerquihue's Plácido Ovalle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urtsín Marre in the 25th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nerquihue's Eustaquio Landi got a free kick in the 25th minute. Urtsín Marre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Plácido Ovalle having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Urtsín Marre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Plácido Ovalle was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Nerquihue's attack was well implemented in the 32nd minute, but when Ceandro Manieu was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Plácido Ovalle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urtsín Marre went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Plácido Ovalle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niguel Hidalgo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Niguel Hidalgo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Curico AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Lázaro Frick took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Plácido Ovalle. Nerquihue's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ceandro Manieu made a kick off. Urtsín Marre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giancarlo Sadin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Curico AFC's Eufrasio Dawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Antonio Leroy in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceandro Manieu in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eufrasio Dawson saved Curico AFC from getting behind. José Antonio Leroy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eufrasio Dawson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceandro Manieu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eufrasio Dawson having to interfere. Urtsín Marre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Plácido Ovalle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eufrasio Dawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Antonio Leroy, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. If José Antonio Leroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nerquihue's Alvino Cunningham couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Curico AFC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Curico AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
