Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5546, Seating: 1701, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Washington Garrido took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 minutes, Ambrosio Placente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loanzana FC and the Curacautin AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 8 minutes into the match, Curacautin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Aristeo Arias came free, but Ubaldo Arco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benjamín Elso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ubaldo Arco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Benjamín Elso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loanzana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamín Elso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ubaldo Arco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Aristeo Arias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ubaldo Arco was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Benjamín Elso took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ubaldo Arco. Ubaldo Arco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Gonzalo Campo charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Campo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benjamín Elso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ubaldo Arco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aristeo Arias struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Ubaldo Arco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Loanzana FC. Curacautin AFC's Ubaldo Arco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamín Elso in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to Curacautin AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gonzalo Campo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curacautin AFC's zone, Aristeo Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Arco came out of the goal and Aristeo Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Aristeo Arias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ubaldo Arco was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Benjamín Elso might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ubaldo Arco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamín Elso ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamín Elso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ubaldo Arco firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ubaldo Arco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristeo Arias in the 57th minute of play. Curacautin AFC's Ubaldo Arco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulín De Ferari in the 59th minute of play. Aristeo Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Ubaldo Arco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Curacautin AFC's goalkeeper Ubaldo Arco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Washington Garrido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Benjamín Elso sped through Curacautin AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ubaldo Arco. After 78 minutes of play Curacautin AFC's Gonzalo Campo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Curacautin AFC's Salamón Abbott got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the last second Ubaldo Arco throw himself and got hold of the ball when Aristeo Arias in the 87thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ubaldo Arco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristeo Arias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamín Elso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loanzana FC played a much better game than Curacautin AFC and deserved their victory. The Curacautin AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
