Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rogelio Alegría started the match with the kick off. Salomón Martel charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Salomón Martel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Limacsina FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Salomón Martel hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the game, Ramon María Flechart cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edmundo Artaño was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 15 minutes, Rogelio Alegría managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Limacsina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Alegría was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rogelio Alegría fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Artaño having to interfere. Xabier Lynch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Limacsina FC's Salomón Martel got a free kick in the 26th minute. Xabier Lynch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Jesus Diaz Montero having to interfere. Alcadio Salvador recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 played minutes Limacsina FC got a freekick which was hit by Salomón Martel. Alcadio Salvador struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Horacio Jesus Diaz Montero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cartajena. Xabier Lynch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rogelio Alegría sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Cartajena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Limacsina FC:s goal. Alexandro Rozas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After the first half Limacsina FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xabier Lynch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cartajena's Xabier Lynch in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 65th minute, Alcadio Salvador got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramon María Flechart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Artaño made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Ramon María Flechart sent off a good shot on target. 71 minutes into the match, Cartajena's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Alegría came free, but Edmundo Artaño reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alcadio Salvador received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Horacio Jesus Diaz Montero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramon María Flechart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Edmundo Artaño didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limacsina FC. Horacio Jesus Diaz Montero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alcadio Salvador, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Limacsina FC's zone, Xabier Lynch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horacio Jesus Diaz Montero came out of the goal and Xabier Lynch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Jesus Diaz Montero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xabier Lynch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Limacsina FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
