Apiau AFC's Aristeo Lastarria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Esteban in the 12th minute of play. Ramón Aldana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute, Fernando Armstrong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, José Luis Moller put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Aristeo Lastarria. Isaiás Talledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Armstrong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apiau AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Aldana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tuman's Heliodoro Vicentens got a free kick in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Tuman's goal looked a bit too open when Ramón Aldana came free, but Isaiás Talledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Armstrong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaiás Talledo having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Apiau AFC had won after a very even match.
