One of Mariscadero AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Apiau AFC:s goal. Mariscadero AFC:s Cristofer Dinarte showed great skill when he stopped Marín Villela:s penalty. Fernando Armstrong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Cristofer Dinarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Savier Wilson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristeo Lastarria having to interfere. Salomón Galdames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Amado Pedraza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apiau AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariscadero AFC the free kick. After 18 played minutes Apiau AFC got a freekick which was hit by Amado Pedraza. If Savier Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliberto Daldos hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Fernando Armstrong scored 0-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristofer Dinarte, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Apiau AFC's Aristeo Lastarria proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Apiau AFC from getting a goal against them. 38 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Oñederra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Apiau AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mariscadero AFC the free kick. In the 38th match minute, Apiau AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Oñederra to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Aldana in the 45th minute of play forced Mariscadero AFC's goalkeeper Cristofer Dinarte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Armstrong made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, José Javier Guillestegui was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salomón Galdames sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aristeo Lastarria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salomón Galdames in the 68th minute of play. Ramón Aldana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernando Armstrong in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristofer Dinarte prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Ramón Aldana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Apiau AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramón Aldana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristofer Dinarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mariscadero AFC's Rogelio Bertiz got a free kick in the 79th minute. Fernando Armstrong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mariscadero AFC's Cristofer Dinarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Mariscadero AFC from getting a goal against them. Ramón Aldana was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 89th minute. Apiau AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
