Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Yoel Wittig took the kick off in the first half of the match. Miromir Grondzki made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Alfonso Sierralta sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Universidad de Los Andes's Jose Esteban Alzerreca got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Universidad de Los Andes's goalkeeper Miromir Grondzki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alfonso Sierralta came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Miromir Grondzki could save by the left post. Universidad de Los Andes's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Yoel Wittig scored to the left of an out of position Miromir Grondzki, making the score, 1-0. Imperio Novenin's Liberto Noriega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Swett in the 28th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Yoel Wittig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universidad de Los Andes's Miromir Grondzki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Miromir Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoel Wittig in the 33rd minute of the match. Miromir Grondzki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoel Wittig, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Yoel Wittig might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miromir Grondzki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yoel Wittig ran back to his position shaking his head. Diego Swett took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Liberto Noriega. Liberto Noriega dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Swett in the 44th minute of play forced Imperio Novenin's goalkeeper Liberto Noriega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Swett to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Angelino Vuskovic got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Urquiza during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Imperio Novenin got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Urquiza. Jose Esteban Alzerreca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liberto Noriega having to interfere. Yoel Wittig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Miromir Grondzki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yoel Wittig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfonso Sierralta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Sierralta in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miromir Grondzki saved Universidad de Los Andes from getting behind. Imperio Novenin were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Universidad de Los Andes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Yeray Villalba took the corner. The corner ended in Yeray Villalba almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Universidad de Los Andes's Miromir Grondzki did a great save. Miromir Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Sierralta in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Swett in the 80th minute of play forced Imperio Novenin's goalkeeper Liberto Noriega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imperio Novenin's Liberto Noriega played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Swett in the 87th minute of play. Marcos Urquiza hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Alfonso Sierralta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Imperio Novenin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Sierralta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Alfonso Sierralta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
