When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Waddington made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Ruperto Mejia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 56 minutes, Héctor David Dueñas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caraguano AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Héctor David Dueñas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zenaido Jaramillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Denton, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Nemesio Jorquera helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Illapata's Manuel Antonio Carreño got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute Omar Denton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenaido Jaramillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Caraguano AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Denton came free, but Zenaido Jaramillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mikel Yavar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Zenaido Jaramillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Caraguano AFC's zone, Omar Denton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenaido Jaramillo came out of the goal and Omar Denton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Omar Denton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Illapata's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
