In the 19th match minute, Almendrillo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niguel Garzo to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Almendrillo AFC's zone, Anastasio Sazie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Alberto Sarratea came out of the goal and Anastasio Sazie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes Barnechea FC's Efraín Jina stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Francisco Alberto Sarratea stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Almendrillo AFC of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gervasio Doursther prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gervasio Doursther came out of the goal and Ezmundo Vivas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 30 minutes, Efraín Jina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnechea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Efraín Jina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. José Francisco Escala hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Julio Urrejola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Efraín Jina came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Barnechea FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efraín Jina couldn't finish the play. In the 47thth minute of the game Ezmundo Vivas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnechea FC's Gervasio Doursther was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ezmundo Vivas made the kick off in the second half. José Luis Traverso scored 2-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisco Alberto Sarratea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If José Luis Traverso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Niguel Garzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barnechea FC's Anastasio Sazie couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Almendrillo AFC. Julio Urrejola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Ezmundo Vivas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.
