But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Campusano couldn't finish the play. Héctor Lizana Lezana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Maurín Landi made a huge save. Duardo Massa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Maurín Landi made a huge save. In the 17thth minute of the game Flavio Campusano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rota AFC's Maurín Landi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Duardo Massa took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maurín Landi. David Zañartu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Rota AFC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Herminio Acle hit a great ball. The Chuquicamata fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when Chuquicamata's Flavio Campusano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gaitano Barticciotto struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. David Zañartu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rota AFC.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Campusano to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Héctor Lizana Lezana in the 65th minute of play forced Rota AFC's goalkeeper Maurín Landi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes Rota AFC got a freekick which was hit by Fidel Jackson. After 71 minutes of play, Chuquicamata's Flavio Campusano made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurín Landi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maurín Landi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Campusano, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Chuquicamata's Flavio Campusano in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rota AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Magdaleno Cobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Héctor Lizana Lezana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Magdaleno Cobo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chuquicamata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magdaleno Cobo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
