Ezequiel Fuentealba's late challenge caught a Caamana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ezequiel Fuentealba helped the player get up and apologised. Filipo Iriarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Duardo Manguyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Filipo Iriarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipo Iriarte in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duardo Manguyague prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Puraquina's zone, Faustino Andraca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duardo Manguyague came out of the goal and Faustino Andraca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enmanuel Chirinos had great luck who in the 36thth minute grab hold of the ball when Victor Hugo Abascal from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Victor Hugo Abascal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enmanuel Chirinos having to make a save. In the 39th minute, Salomón Orellana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caamana's Enmanuel Chirinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Hugo Abascal in the 41st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Puraquina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! If Victor Hugo Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Salomón Orellana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Enmanuel Chirinos having to make a save. When Victor Hugo Abascal came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Puraquina fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Hugo Abascal couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Filipo Iriarte got free with Duardo Manguyague in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filipo Iriarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Duardo Manguyague tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustino Andraca in the 72nd minute of play forced Puraquina's goalkeeper Duardo Manguyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Filipo Iriarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enmanuel Chirinos came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Puraquina's Victor Hugo Abascal. But to his dismay, Victor Hugo Abascal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Caamana's Enmanuel Chirinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salomón Orellana in the 82nd minute of play. In the 89th minute Victor Hugo Abascal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enmanuel Chirinos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match Hernán Dundan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enmanuel Chirinos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Puraquina's zone, Faustino Andraca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duardo Manguyague came out of the goal and Faustino Andraca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
