Spectators: 6689 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After a rather tough play, Tiquina's Francisco Martín Couve got a free kick in the 21st minute. Tiquina's Andoni Klickmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelmo Urzúa in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Leoncio Echazarreta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andoni Klickmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romano Chauriye, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tiquina's zone, Romano Chauriye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andoni Klickmann came out of the goal and Romano Chauriye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the match, Edilberto Ponce had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andoni Klickmann. Tiquina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edilberto Ponce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 41st minute, Edilberto Ponce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andoni Klickmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. If Romano Chauriye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelmo Urzúa made a kick off. If Leoncio Echazarreta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelmo Urzúa in the 94th minute of play forced Tiquina's goalkeeper Andoni Klickmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
