With a little luck, Illapel's Martino Villaseca got control of the ball when Oliverio Riera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oliverio Riera was extremely unlucky when he, in the 10th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Chorrillo's Andreas Draper tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 minutes of play, Illapel's Manuel Antonio Roques made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andreas Draper was left in no man's land by his defense there! Manuel Antonio Roques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Naelio Olmos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Martino Villaseca. Naelio Olmos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Illapel's Manuel Antonio Roques got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Antonio Roques stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Illapel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristofer Plaza to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the game, Chorrillo's Naelio Olmos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martino Villaseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. After having played for 61 minutes, Pedro Huaquil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Illapel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Huaquil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Roland Marre charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roland Marre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Illapel booed when Chorrillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Marre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristofer Plaza did an outstanding performance 65 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 3-3 to the right of an irritated Andreas Draper in the goal. Oliverio Riera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Martino Villaseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oliverio Riera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 played minutes Illapel got a freekick which was hit by Cristofer Plaza.
