The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amancio Colimán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Mark Cumplido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of yethro-boys booed when Calamina FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Ulibarrigamboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hipolito Adelsdorfer charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hipolito Adelsdorfer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Calamina FC got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Adelsdorfer. Hipolito Adelsdorfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Tornero having to interfere. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind yethro-boys's goalkeeper Guido Tornero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hernán Gundelach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hernán Gundelach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernán Gundelach in the 39th minute of play forced yethro-boys's goalkeeper Guido Tornero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Tornero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danél Jaraquemada in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Hipolito Adelsdorfer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Guido Tornero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hipolito Adelsdorfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Tornero having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amancio Colimán stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alejandro Ulibarrigamboa hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After having played for 55 minutes, Claudio Heyboer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. yethro-boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Heyboer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hernán Gundelach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Tornero having to interfere. Hernán Gundelach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hipolito Adelsdorfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Tornero having to interfere. A collision led to Calamina FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Alejandro Ulibarrigamboa hit a great ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guido Tornero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the game, Amancio Colimán was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. yethro-boys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calamina FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, yethro-boys's Amancio Colimán got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute, Rigoberto Minassian got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernán Gundelach was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Hipolito Adelsdorfer scored 0-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guido Tornero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
