Adventistas FC's José Ignacio Vives proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Adventistas FC from getting a goal against them. Adventistas FC's Roman Jaunti got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduard Klein made in the 43rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Adventistas FC's Hermelando Floto.

After 54 played minutes Montado got a freekick which was hit by Henrico Roger. After a defensive mix-up in Montado's zone, Roman Jaunti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teobaldo Chandia came out of the goal and Roman Jaunti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurino Saavedra in the 60th minute of play forced Adventistas FC's goalkeeper José Ignacio Vives to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gaston Ruz came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Montado fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Ruz couldn't finish the play. Roman Jaunti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Adventistas FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. André Linge hit a great ball. If Roman Jaunti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st match minute, Montado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobías Maffioletti to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Feliberto Canales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute Gaston Ruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ignacio Vives saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Adventistas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurino Saavedra came free, but José Ignacio Vives reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Ignacio Vives showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Ruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Montado players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
