Angol FC's Quintán Portal got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quintán Portal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ramiro Dijk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Calderón in the 37th minute of play forced Angol FC's goalkeeper Felipe Moure to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Moure made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Madeo Rosas in the 40th minute of play. Felipe Moure came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Peumos AFC's Madeo Rosas. But to his dismay, Madeo Rosas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Adolfo Carretero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro Dijk having to interfere. Quintán Portal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Angol FC's zone, Aurelio Calderón stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Moure came out of the goal and Aurelio Calderón tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Angol FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peumos AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Peumos AFC.
