The Rivadavia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 45th minute, Rivadavia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro José Ancavil fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Andreo Raheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jeronimo Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Rivadavia were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Oriol Forster's late challenge caught a Rivadavia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oriol Forster helped the player get up and apologised. Jeronimo Abad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruyman Ahumada in the 54th minute. Charahue's Jeronimo Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreo Raheiro in the 64th minute of play. After 83 played minutes Charahue got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Quinchen. Gaitán Lezaeta kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Jeronimo Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreo Raheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 90 minutes, Gaitán Lezaeta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charahue and the Rivadavia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaitán Lezaeta kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Charahue's goalkeeper Jeronimo Abad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ruyman Ahumada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Abad having to interfere. Damario Marcou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Feliciano Marasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Rivadavia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
