He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cultane reached it. The audience was convinced that Julio Carreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Basilio Undurraga was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Cultane's goal looked a bit too open when Ruyman Frontaura came free, but Octavio Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Julio Carreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Cultane's Octavio Leal got control of the ball when Tor Bravo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abel Jullian charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Jullian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, Julio Carreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Basilio Undurraga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 29th match minute, Cultane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubén Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Cultane getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Abel Jullian hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubén Ferrer in the 44th minute of play forced Guatanabe's goalkeeper Basilio Undurraga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubén Ferrer struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Basilio Undurraga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cultane. The Guatanabe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cultane were winning 0-2.

Ruyman Frontaura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Octavio Leal having to make a save. In the 92nd minute, Rubén Ferrer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rubén Ferrer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cultane's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
