Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alarico Aizpuru started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eufemio Languard in the 10th minute of play forced Naval Talcahuano's goalkeeper Bautista Scapini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquin Denton hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Bautista Scapini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Aguad, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Esequiel Fabianis short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Fabio Vlahovic to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Cartagena's zone, Carlos Alberto Pinuer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Vlahovic came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Pinuer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquin Denton hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Alarico Aizpuru struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Bautista Scapini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cartagena. Bautista Scapini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alarico Aizpuru in the 21st minute of the match. Bautista Scapini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odín Pasenau in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 24 minutes, Carlos Alberto Pinuer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Naval Talcahuano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Pinuer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bautista Scapini came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Cartagena's Eufemio Languard. But to his dismay, Eufemio Languard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cartagena's goalkeeper Fabio Vlahovic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Naval Talcahuano's Carlos Alberto Pinuer slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabio Vlahovic. That made the score 1-1 after 33 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Esequiel Fabiani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naval Talcahuano's supporters rose to their feet, but Esequiel Fabiani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Vlahovic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfonso Aguad hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Esequiel Fabiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernán Peralta kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Fabio Vlahovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Pinuer, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cartagena's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Esequiel Fabiani was slow to take the kick. During this time Naval Talcahuano's players had a chance to rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Alberto Pinuer was the one to do the kick off. Esequiel Fabiani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 54th minute, Carlos Alberto Pinuer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Naval Talcahuano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After 58th play minutes Carlos Alberto Pinuer shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Fabio Vlahovic and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 61st minute of the game. One of Cartagena:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Naval Talcahuano:s goal. Fabio Vlahovic went to the wrong direction when Esequiel Fabiani was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cartagena's zone, Carlos Alberto Pinuer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Vlahovic came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Pinuer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Naval Talcahuano's Carlos Alberto Pinuer got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Esequiel Fabiani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fabio Vlahovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Esequiel Fabiani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Alberto Pinuer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Vlahovic having to make a save. Alarico Aizpuru kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Naval Talcahuano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Esequiel Fabiani in the 81st minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Carlos Alberto Pinuer heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After 92 minutes, Joaquin Denton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Naval Talcahuano and the Cartagena players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Naval Talcahuano's Joaquin Denton got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Fabio Vlahovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Pinuer in the 94th minute of the match. Bautista Scapini acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Fernán Peralta. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alarico Aizpuru in the 99th minute of play forced Naval Talcahuano's goalkeeper Bautista Scapini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
