Cobresal's Luiz Paulo Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Topocho Donaire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Martinich having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Machado couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Topocho Donaire made a kick off. Loreno Hoffmann scored 0-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of César Martinich, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cobresal's Luiz Paulo Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Justino Gabella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Vasconcelos in the 84th minute of the match. Jerardo Benito kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Luiz Paulo Machado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 98thth minute, César Martinich skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Aoni AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cobresal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
